Stakeholder Gold Corp. (TSX-V: SRC) is conducting exploration on the Goldstorm Gold-Silver Project on the Midas gold trend in Elko, Nevada (USA) and holds the Ballarat Gold Project in the White Gold District of the Yukon Territory (Canada).
Goldstorm Gold-Silver Project Elko, Nevada (USA)
The Goldstorm Gold-Silver Project is located 17 km northwest of the town of Midas, the location of Klondex’s Ken Snyder Midas underground gold mine in Elko County, Nevada. The +3 M oz. Midas mine is one of the world’s highest grade and most profitable gold-silver mines. Goldstorm has potential to be the same type of high-grade gold silver system, and the ‘Clayton Veins’ diamond drill hole on the property is a proven concept drillhole which intersected high grade Au-Ag mineralization with visible gold manifest only 60m below surface.
The Clayton Veins hole on Goldstorm intersected 6 veins incl. 5.51 g/t Au over 2 m, incl. 9.29 g/t Au and 72.6 g/t Ag over 1 m, in a 50m wide structural zone with quartz-gold-silver veining hosting local values of 1 to 4+ g/t gold. The visible gold in this 50m wide zone is only 60 meters below surface. The structure is more than 2,000m long with veining exposed in multiple locations.
Goldstorm may also host potential for the discovery of a large Carlin-style gold mine at depth. Several significant fault zones host gold mineralization on the Goldstorm project, along Carlin-style favorable WNW and NNW orientations and 3+ km lengths and up to 50 meter system widths. The project sits 18 km east-northeast of Newmont’s giant +25 M oz. Twin Creeks Carlin-type gold mine, and 25 km northeast of Barrick Gold’s giant +40 M oz. Turquoise Ridge-Getchell gold mining complex.
Ballarat Gold Project White Gold District, Yukon Territory (Canada)
Stakeholder’s 100% owned Ballarat Gold Property is located 120 km southeast of Dawson City in the White Gold District of the Yukon Territory.
Exploration work on Ballarat is being conducted by GroundTruth Exploration Inc. who are pioneers in the use of proprietary technologies such as the GT Probe, the GT RAB Drill and the exploration applications developed for the UAV Drone.
Stakeholder completed Phase I exploration on the Ballarat property (2016 Season). The program consisted of soil sampling, rock sampling and DC IP/resistivity testing. Results significantly enlarged the Eastern Zone target area. Two float rock samples from this zone yielded values of 0.759 g/t and 0.587 g/t gold. A grab sample taken from a trench at the Northwest Zone ran 1.492 g/t Au.
Geophysical work is now complete on the newly expanded Eastern Zone anomaly. Soil grids are being extended either side of the anomaly and on other sections of the expanded Ballarat claim sections (2017 Season).
